HERMIT CRAB CARE
Hermit crabs are fun to watch. They usually don't get handled much as they are normally timid creatures but in some instances have been known to be open with their owners. They live for about 10 years and grow to about 6". They thrive in groups despite their name. There should be about 5 gallons of space for every two crabs. There should be several hiding places and at least 2 larger empty shells per crab for future housing. They prefer temperatures between 70-75 degrees F with humidity between 50%-80%. Live plants tend to maintain humidity and misting daily. Add a dechlorinated water dish for your crabs to soak in. Make sure the sides of the dish are low enough for them to crawl in and out.

DIET
There is pelleted food available for larger crabs. Smaller crabs will take it in powdered form. Feed them dark leafy greens such as kale or broccoli. You can feed them fruits such as apple, grapes, and banana.
