RABBIT CARE TIPS

Rabbits are snuggly and personable pets that are calm and can be handled by their owners. They bond with their owners very well. However, keep an eye on them. They can also be messy. Here are some basic tips to care for pet rabbits.

Rabbits can be messy so an enclosure is recommended when they are not being handled or watched. A waste catching tray needs to be placed under their cage and changed daily in order to reduce nasty odor. Bedding is also recommended to catch waste and to be changed often. If rabbits spend time outside, grooming may be required to remove stickers and burrs. If your rabbit has free range of your house, make sure your rabbit is trained to excrete waste in a certain area and have an eating area.
